Donate to Fight Superbugs and Protect Patients today.
Every day in the UK there are on average 57 new infections caused by so-called “superbugs” – that are no-longer treatable by every-day medicines.
When Kelly had a common urinary infection, she never expected to be rushed to A&E fighting for her life. The infection was resistant to the antibiotics that had been prescribed. Despite initially responding to further treatment, she deteriorated rapidly when the infection spread to her blood. Her family was told to prepare for the worst.
Thankfully, Kelly survived. Sadly, not everyone who faces an infection caused by “superbugs” is so lucky.
Resistant infections caused by superbugs contribute to 35,000 deaths a year in the UK, and many more people experience their life-altering complications.
We need your help to take urgent, practical steps to fight Superbugs, right here, right now.

AMR Action UK has been working to influence policymakers, launching our campaign – Fighting Superbugs: Protecting Patients by speaking with MPs in Westminster - informing them of the need for urgent action to save lives and prevent even more harm to patients.
With no Government or NHS funding for our work we need your support.
Your donation today will help us fight for the changes that would prevent infections and treat infections when they happen more effectively - cleaner hospitals, better diagnostic testing and improved NHS practices such as ensuring people get the right dose of antibiotics.
Will you #FundTheFight?
AMR Action UK also provides a vital lifeline to patients like Kelly, including through our nurse-led helpline and peer-support services as well as funding patient-focused research, making sure they’re not facing resistance alone, now or in the future.
