AMR Action UK to feature in BBC Radio 4 Appeal
We are delighted to have been selected to feature on the BBC Radio 4 Appeal this September.

Antimicrobial resistance (known as AMR) is not a distant threat. It is already causing significant harm to thousands of people in the UK, yet many people are not aware of it.
Our appeal will explain more about the crisis, and how donating to AMR Action UK can help us support those affected while also advocating for the urgent change needed now to protect lives across the UK.
The appeal will be presented by Dr Adam Rutherford, scientist, writer and broadcaster.
Tune in to find out why Adam owes his life to antibiotics. He’ll also be sharing the story of Kelly – a mother of two from Kent. A resistant infection left Kelly fighting for her life. In the appeal you can hear about how AMR Action UK’s support has been invaluable during her recovery.
Dr Adam Rutherford said: “Antimicrobial resistance is maybe the biggest crisis that medicine faces in the modern world. We don’t talk about it enough, so I urge you to listen to this appeal and find out how your support can make a huge difference.”
You can listen to the appeal on Radio 4 on:
Sunday 21 September at 07:54 and 21:25
Thursday 25 September at 15:27
AMR Action UK is the UK patient organisation for antimicrobial resistance (AMR). We are focussed on supporting those affected by AMR and advocating for the changes that can happen right now to protect people in all four nations of the UK.
With the threat of AMR growing, it’s never been more important to support our work. Find out how you can donate:
